Teleradiology Services

Our Global Diagnostics Teleradiology service is just one of many key clinical services that Global Diagnostics offers. While it is an important part of what we do best, the service itself offers more than just remote reporting and can be further enhanced when used in conjunction with other Global Diagnostics service offerings.

Global Diagnostics Teleradiology solution offers our Healthcare partners the opportunity:

  • to guarantee their patients and referring doctors a consistent report turnaround time, every time
  • to only pay for the services delivered, without the worry of radiologist availability or productivity
  • avail of “sub specialisation” services, allowing them to offer their patients and referrers a full range of services while still remaining competitive
  • to offer “out of hours” or “on call” services
  • to effectively manage waiting lists, spikes in service or reporting backlogs
  • to provide a complimentary support role to our Health Care partners
How our service works

How do we do it?

Our Team

We have a national and international team of consultant radiologists all of whom are Irish accredited and on the Specialist register. The combined team offers a wide expertise across all modalities including MR, CT, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, PET, DEXA and X-Ray etc. Additional sub specialisations include;

  • Neuroradiology
  • Paediatric Radiology
  • MSK
  • Vascular imaging
  • Interventional procedures (on a sessional basis)
Web based technology

We employ the latest generation web-based secure telemedicine network that includes ‘Global Link’ our fully integrated HL7 compliant Radiology Information System (RIS) and DICOM-compliant Picture Archive and Computer System (PACS).

The ‘Global Link’ is easy to set up and use and can be integrated securely into clients Information Systems. The system is robust, stable and responsive enabling us to deliver radiology services with minimal lead times.

Our operational structure provides our Health Care Partners with the ability to access our service as and when they need us. The RIS PACS technology, along with our unique and innovative high usage of teleradiologists allows us to flex our reporting levels up and down with comparative ease.  Our service can also be scaled to meet the requirements of a solo practitioner through to a large teaching hospital.

Solution Deployment

In order to deliver a sustainable and effective long term solution, prior to rolling out a Teleradiology Service, Global Diagnostics will always:

  • Fully scope the anticipated service
  • Map the anticipated workflows
  • Define and agree the Service Objectives
  • Define a Quality Assurance Programme specific to the service
  • Recommend and agree monthly KPIs to provide our Healthcare Partner with transparent ongoing surveillance of the new service

Technical Support

Technical support is provided by 24/7/365 “follow the sun” support and backup for reporting radiologists and clients. We have two distinct IT support teams – one based in Western Australia and the other in Ireland to ensure the continual support of the service.

Understanding

As an end user of teleradiology services ourselves, we have an acute understanding of the services required by our healthcare partners and use operational and clinical tested models of service delivery which we are continually refining to ensure the effectiveness of the service we provide.
